How we met or how we were setup! Our dear friends James and Tonya Sweeney introduced us at a barbeque at their house. To give us some alone time and see if we hit it off, we were sent on a mission to get some ice cream from town. Obviously we hit it off.
First Date: Our first date was fun. We went and watched Transformers 2 in Harker Heights... Two nights later. I thought Bennyce was cute when I first saw her but when I saw her at the theater I thought she was beautiful. We went to Barnes & Noble to drink coffee and talked for the next two or three hours.
On one date, Jason and I went on a picnic in the park. Jason made ribs, potato salad, pea salad and strawberry shortcake. We enjoyed each others company while enjoying the tranquill setting of the park.
Shyness is a pain! Bob Bullock Museum is a wonderful place to go on a date. It is nice to joke about all the corn Bennyce would have to grind while watching the children. While Jason would be out hunting and tending to the crops. It would have also been a perfect place to have held each other's hand or had that first kiss. But we were/are very shy people. Jason, the geek that he is, wanting to break the ice, sent a message the next day asking 'What task doeth my lady desire to earn a kiss?.' It broke the ice.
Jason meets Bennyce's family. Jason was introduced to Bennyce's large extended family. An aunt and uncle of Bennyce's really wanted to meet him and interrogate him. Jason was very nervous and kept waiting for all the questions from each of them. Jason did not get all the questions. But he made a good first impression and they welcomed him to the family.
